Layout
Multi-part run: standard double-hung sash units (each up to 2000 mm wide) coupled in one straight run — boxes 100 + 100 at every join, a 100 × 17 mm cover strip over each join, one continuous cill. Square bay: a front run of 1–6 units plus one unit on each side at 90° (up to 8 windows, front + both sides up to 7 m), on timber corner posts — 147 × 147 mm as standard — with cover strips at the posts as on the joins. Canted bay: the same bay with the sides set at 30°, 45° or 60° to the front, on angled timber posts. Corner window: two runs of 1–6 units meeting at one timber corner post (90°), both walls up to 7 m of windows in total. Between coupled units the box linings are slim (90 + 90 = 180 at every join); single windows and the free ends keep 100. Glass, bars, colour and hardware you pick in the next steps apply to every unit.
Sash Type
Cottage: a shorter top sash and a taller bottom sash (top 40% or one third of the sash height), so the meeting rail sits higher and the view through the lower sash is clearer.
Cottage proportions need a window at least 900 mm high.

Required frame dimensions:
Width: - mm (structural opening + 150 mm)
Height: - mm (structural opening + 75 mm)

📐 See measuring instructionsMulti-part run
The width above is the overall width of the run — the list reaches 3000 mm for the number of units chosen (2000 mm per unit).
Inside the room the sides meet the front at 150° / 135° / 120°. A 90° bay is the Square bay layout. Other angles on request.
Standard 147 × 147 mm: the windows meet the post with slim linings (90), their inner linings mitred at 45°, so the post is flush outside and never shows inside. Width is the post face seen from the front, depth the face seen from the side (147–400 mm); a larger post takes the extra on the room side. Overall front = front + 2 × post width = 3294 mm.
One cill runs under the whole run; the extension adds to its standard 52 mm horn at each end.
