Window Size
The biggest factor. A small bathroom sash (600 × 900mm) costs roughly half of a large reception room window (1200 × 1800mm). Our configurator adjusts the price as you change dimensions.
Glazing Type
Double glazing is the most popular and cost-effective option (U-value 1.4 W/m²K). Triple glazing adds approximately 20–25% to the price but significantly improves thermal and acoustic performance (U-value 1.2 W/m²K). Passive glass is our highest specification at U-value 0.8 W/m²K, ideal for projects aiming for ultra-low energy performance.
Colour & Finish
Single colour finishes are included in the base price — choose from any RAL colour or the full Farrow & Ball palette at no extra cost. Dual colour (different inside and outside) carries a 15% surcharge to cover the additional spray-finishing process.
Window Type
Sash windows are generally more expensive than casement windows of the same size because of the sliding mechanism, pulleys or spring balances, and the more complex joinery involved. Arched windows carry a premium due to the laminated curved timber sections required.
Georgian Bars
Glazing bars add a modest cost per bar. Our configurator lets you see exactly how different bar patterns look in 3D before you commit.
Timber vs uPVC — Long-Term Cost
Timber windows cost more upfront than uPVC. That is a fact. But the total cost over the life of a building tells a different story.

Installation is quoted separately because it depends on access, scaffolding requirements, the condition of existing openings, and whether structural work is needed.
